About the Dashboard

The Equity Data Dashboard was developed by the Illinois Power Agency's DEI Bureau as a continuation of the Equity Accountability System (EAS) Assessment. While the EAS Assessment provided a point-in-time analysis of equity participation and outcomes, the dashboard was created to provide ongoing public access to equity-related data and trends across Illinois' clean energy economy.

The dashboard brings together data from multiple sources, including the Energy Workforce Equity Portal, Illinois Shines, Utility-Scale Procurements, Illinois Solar for All, and workforce development partners, creating a centralized resource for stakeholders interested in understanding equity participation, workforce outcomes, and program impacts over time.

The dashboard was designed and developed by Ella Johnson-McGowan, DEI Data Analytics Manager, and Catherine O'Carroll, DEI Data Analyst. Together, they led the planning, data collection, visualization design, stakeholder engagement, and implementation efforts that brought this resource from concept to launch. Their work was supported by IPA program teams, program administrators, and agency partners who contributed data, technical expertise, and feedback throughout the development process.
