Each year, the Kellogg Impact Consulting Club (KICC) at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, partners with 15+ organizations including socially responsible entrepreneurs in the Chicago area to provide their 8-week-long pro-bono consulting projects to work on strategic planning, market-entry, fundraising strategy, growth strategy, operation, organization, and brand awareness. The Community Enterprise & Solidarity Economy Clinic at the University of Illinois-Chicago represents worker-owned cooperative businesses, non-profits, or small businesses that operate for the benefit of an underserved community. The Clinic is committed to providing access to quality business and transactional legal representation to persons with limited financial resources to engage a lawyer in connection with their business and transactional matters, preferably from an underserved community and not-for-profit organizations. The Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights is a non-partisan, non-profit group of civil rights lawyers and advocates working to secure racial equity and economic opportunity for all. We provide legal representation through partnerships with the private bar, and we collaborate with grassroots organizations and other advocacy groups to implement community-based solutions that advance civil rights. The Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center provides Illinois start-up companies and social entrepreneurs. Under the supervision of clinical faculty and staff, law students represent clients in a range of transactional matters, including entity selection, protection of intellectual property, operational contracts including customer contracts, drafting website terms and conditions, licensing matters, and worker contracts.
